First Youth Match of the Season

Our first youth match of the season was lead out by our U16’s girls who played against Claremorris today. The final score was 0-20 to Claremorris. There was a great effort from our girls, with minium players available, they played 13 a side, with 2 subs, who had never played a game of rugby.
Claremorris brought 28 girls and used them all, essentially our girls played 2 teams. Given the fresh legs and a significant size difference, the girls played well above their comfort zone, dug deep, showed massive commitment and heart. We gained more from the game today, than Claremorris, despite the result. Rugby is about building character, which on today’s performance, the girls have in abundance.
