Welcome to the Mini Section of the Connemara RFC website. This section deals with age grades from Under 7′s to Under 12′s. We are very proud of all our mini players who show great dedication and commitment throughout each year.  If you are already a player, welcome to the 2011-2012 season! Date of Eligibility for Mini Rugby 2011-2012

Under 7  - Born in 2005
Under 8  - Born in 2004
Under 9  - Born in 2003
Under 10- Born in 2002
Under 11- Born in 2001
Under 12- Born in  2000

Training for the 2011-12 season commences on Wednesday 14th September at 6.30pm sharp. Arrive 20 minutes early to be on the pitch on time.

Mini rugby training (under7-12) for the 2011-2012 season will begin on Wednesday 14th September at 6.30 sharp. All players must be paid up & registered before attending training, games and events.

Due to the large numbers of 7-12 year olds registering with the mini section of Connemara RFC there is now an urgent need for more coaches and volunteers. If you have 1-2 hours to spare on a Wednesday evening please phone 087 9017406 or 087 6687468 or email info@connemararfc.ie for more details.

We welcome, encourage and support anyone who is interested in getting involved in volunteering, assisting or coaching in Connemara RFC Mini/Youth sections.

Training

Mini training takes place on Wednesday evenings at The Monastery Pitch from 6.30-8pm. Mini Rugby is all about FUN, making new friends and learning all about the great game of Rugby! Parent’s are asked to drop off players at the clubhouse on time so that training can commence at 6.30pm. All players must be picked up at 8pm sharp. All Mini players MUST wear a gum shield at training and events. NO GUMSHIELD-NO GAME!

The designated contact phone number for the mini rugby section is 087-6487299. There will be a recorded message on this number about any training cancellations, away fixtures, return times from away fixtures and anything else that may be important in connection with Connemara RFC Mini Rugby.

Connemara RFC  Age-Grade Group have put in place a Code of Conduct, Policies and Procedures, Statements and Information to ensure Best Practice in the Youth and Mini sections of the club. All players, coaches, parent’s and spectators are expected to abide by the Connemara RFC Code of Conduct. All of the above are on display in the clubhouse. Fees

Mini/Youth Membership Fees are €50 for one mini/youth player and €70 for more than one mini/youth player in the same family. Membership forms must be filled in and fees must be paid prior to availing of training and events. Download Connemara RFC Mini & Youth Membership Application HERE
