Connemara’s Junior 1B team started their league campaign with a 42-5 victory over Westport on Sunday last. The game was played in Westport due to redevelopment of the Connemara home pitch. Half time score was 10-0 with Connemara keeping most of the play in the Westport half. Second half saw Westport score a consolation try but sterling defence by the Connemara lads kept Westport  from crossing the line again. Next match v Portumna on Sunday 4th October.
